Credentials Bring You Credibility

Engineering Management Institute Credentials Bring You Credibility EMI The following is an excerpt from Chapter 2 of my soon to be launched book Engineer Your Own Success: 7 Key Elements to Creating an Extraordinary Engineering Career: Your credentials represent measurable accomplishments in your career, which include your levels, licenses, certifications, and any awards you could have gained. Credentials are essential for a number of reasons, but the most important factor that credentials deliver you is CREDIBILITY! Whether you are attempting to secure a job with a brand new employer or obtain a brand new consumer for your firm, the extra credibility you have, the easier will probably be. This looks as if an obvious level, however so many professionals fail to acknowledge the importance of credentials, due to this fact they don’t pursue them, which in turn drastically impedes their profession growth. Credentials will not necessarily make you a fantastic design engineer or project manager. However, they may put you able to effectively show your en gineering and management talents. It just isn't unusual for engineers to get promoted over different engineers simply because they have their Professional Engineering (P.E.) license, when in actuality the engineer that was handed over is more talented. It’s unlucky that many corporations work this fashion, but in the end it’s your duty to obtain the credentials that can allow you to advance in your career. Not excelling at examinations or no time to pursue a level are poor excuses. You are a wise, powerful individual that may do something when you put your mind to it! You can, and can, move any examination that you simply properly prepare for prematurely. This chapter will provide some recommendations and methods on tips on how to go about obtaining credentials that may you put you in a position to succeed. The rest of Chapter 2 will provide some suggestions and methods on the way to go about obtaining credentials that may you set you able to succeed.
